Hi everyone,

I’m planning to buy a new 55-inch 4K TV and my budget is capped at ₹60,000. I’ve narrowed down my choices to Sony, Samsung, and LG, since I want a reliable brand with good picture quality and long-term durability.

Key things I’m looking for:

  • Excellent picture quality (Dolby Vision / HDR support would be a plus)
  • Good sound output ( I have a soundbar )
  • Smooth OS experience (Google TV, WebOS, or Tizen – open to suggestions)
  • At least 3 HDMI ports (for DTH, gaming console, and streaming devices)

Can vouch for LG's reliability and picture quality but under 60k you won't get dolby vision, only HDR10 support. WebOS is great but can be a little difficult to use for elderly people due to the magic remote(requires getting used to).
I bought a 55 inch 4K TV with the magic remote at 50k from vijay sales in 2022, got a 3 year warranty on some independence day offer. Still running smooth with no issues.
I had this instance where the remote was not working properly, contacted LG support and they replaced the remote free of cost, the technician said that it was water damage but was kind enough to replace it.
If you don't like WebOS, get a firestick 4K, that's what I did.

You can also check out TVs from TCL and Hisense, they offer good picture quality and you can get a QLED panel with dolby vision under 60k. You can just put a firestick if the default OS is laggy.
In my experience it doesn't really make a difference in terms of picture quality if you buy TV from the top brands like LG, samsung, Sony or TCL/HiSense. Some TCL/Hisense TVs with mini led panels offer superior picture quality at a cheaper price compared to samsung and LG which offer normal 4K LED panel under 60K. Just look for a panel with high brightness, the cheaper ones are very dim with poor HDR performance.
