Hi All,

Currently i am using BSNL UT300R2U Modem in bangalore. I would like to change to wifi modem.
Isit good to go for BSNL WIFI modem or i should go for private like D-Link or TP-Link.

Kindly suggest which is good and its Tariffs?

Get TP-Link! I'm proud owner of TP-Link W8968 router and this thing is running flawlessy for 1.5 years now ! Not a single signal drop unlike my previous Netgear which used to freeze in the middle of download. Their after sales service is very good in my experience.

Avoid D-Link , they have signal drop problems.

My 2 cents.

Using D-Link since some 2 years, I guess. Have bought it for someone I know even before that. Working awesome till date. But TP-Link is also a very good choice. You can even go for iBall which is pretty cheap. I am not much impressed from what I heard of Digiflip though. May it is just a singular case with one of my friends.

Altogether, you could simply go for any ADSL 2+ modem with a rj 11 and enough rj 45 output ports along with WiFi b/g/n support.

PS : Better options can be listed if you could mention your budget.

Thanks for your suggestion. My budget is around may be 3000-3500. I was confused since some of them said Belkin wifi modem is good.

So still i am searching the best option to choose :)

Don't buy Belkin. Is the current bsnl router providing decent coverage?

How big is your setup?

What do you want to go for? A combo device or a separate router and modem?

I am not sure as to what set up you are referring. .coverage is good.
i want to opt for combo device. .I guess this is better compared to going individually..am I right?

Suggest good option and brand to buy

Since you have a good budget, you could go for an N type router with dual antenna. That is the maximum feature that you can get with this budget. You could even think of opting for a model with USB support for using HDD and inbuilt torrent client available (if required). I am not sure how far your budget will stretch your chance of getting a modem with support for USB dongles as well. I guess it is feasible within this budget.
