Brett Ratner wants R-rated Beverly Hills Cop 4

Beverly Hills Cop 4 will see Eddie Murphy return to the role of Axel Foley once more, and Brett Ratner gave Total Film a quick update on the project.

"I'm working on it now as we speak, on the script and stuff. So I'm definitely interested in making it next", he said. The project would reunite him with Murphy after the pair made Tower Heist together.

Ratner revealed that "I just think it's going back to the R, hardcore Eddie Murphy that everybody loved and wants to see again. You know, from 48 HRS, Beverly Hills Cop, that type of character" adding that "what you didn't learn on the first three you're going to learn in this one".

Beverly Hills Cop 4 is currently scheduled for release in March 2016.
