my lyf phone broke 3 days ago. since the jio sim that comes with a lyf phone does not work on any other phones, it has been rendered useless. their customer service helpline -199 sucks as you to have to wait for more than 45 mins everytime you call them. after 3 days of trying, i could get hold of a CC executive who told me that i will have to purchase a new lyf phone in order to use my old sim for JPO which is kind of stupid as the new lyf phone would anyway come with a new sim which will have a later expiry in comparison with my older sim. in any case, i paid 3000 rupees to jio for their JPO and they tell me that my sim card is useless because my lyf phone broke while giving away sim cards for free to other people who are paying nothing.
incidents like these tell you how consumer centric a company is.
