Beware... Reliance JIO might change your plan

I am sorry for the late reply. I am also sorry for promising too much, since I now realize that this might also just be a coincidence of the reset cycle or just a system error. I might have gotten too excited, sorry for being a buzzkill. I have shit speeds since the mens hostel is nearby and all heil QoS, so I have to try very hard to use up 4 GB of data. I have only managed to do so once.

This is what happened that day: I finish 4.02GB the previous day, but I wouldn't have hit the FUP since that is what android reports and android resets at 12, not whatever arbitrary time jio uses. The next day, I finish what android tells me is 3.8 GB, I get the account balance zero stuff on jio.com whatever page I open. I got the sms exactly 30 minutes later. (My phone has russian firmware and when I had inserted the SIM card when I first got it, the APN for loop mobile appeared (must be the mnc value, I guess airtel had no use for it), this was "www" instead of jionet, no other changes. I always use jionet)I change to this APN after I got message and suddenly youtube works fine, which is the only place I get any speed.
I do not remember anything else, sorry. I think this may have an error in the system. I hope you forgive if it is indeed so.
Can anyone please test if changing jionet to www works?
 
I am really sorry. Does www along with "IPV6 only" work? Youtube has IPV6.
 
I don't mind about the trick not working.Why can't you try what you've just said?For me,it doesn't work.
 
How to check usage. My jio app usage is weird, its very late to show usage and its show usage at weird times for me

I remember using the "IPV6 only" setting that day, perhaps that is also a factor. Speeds here are very poor, It is very difficult for me to cross 4GB again without having to forgo sleep as only youtube streaming gets anything above 1 mbps.

Log out and login again. It will show you the updated data. Or generate your statement using my jio app, it will show you real time data.

It shows weird usage and timings for me too. I switch off my phone at night and start it only around 7.50 am. And usage shows 500 - 600 mb of data usage correctly at that time every day , when I am not even using it that heavy. And then it reports mostly nothing for the rest of the day....maybe just 1 or 2 more entries with several mb of usage. Vodafone records minute by minute history of entire data usage, so you know where your data is being used. But I am not sure how Jio's algorithm works.This could be a big concern when we start paying for their services.
 
It's just a glitch that's been running around..I had 3-4 instances where I didn't get FUPed
Give this a try.
Have a US/UK proxy running(UDP and not TCP) all the time ,especially during your FUP reset time,because this is the only thing according to me was triggering FUP free..
