i am pretty sure that reliance would put pressure on the government to enforce that ruling which requires DTH operators to take back the STBs and DISH and provide a refund... this is the only way they can get decent numbers in this somewhat saturated market.we are already seeing the government enforcing CAS in more areas. this also seems to be from the pressure from the DTH/CAS lobbies.

Bharti is not sleeping..... I am currently travelling and in pune for my consulting assignment with another telecom comp and guess what....... I saw a Dish pointed to a satellite and the dish is Airtel DTH's !!!!!! If you guys dont trust me...... you can do the following... Go to Vega center in Swargate, pune ( This building is the office for both airtel and Idea cellular ) just behind the first building of vega center look up near second floor on the corner of the building to see the airtel branded DTH dish.. I saw this today from the back building where i was working ( idea cellular office )

may be they are testing their software of stb using any other DTH signals available in air . As of now no KU BAND transponder is available for them to launch the service . A new KU band satellite is gonna be launched in aug-sep this year. Only then they can test their own signals . Videocon and airtel are waiting for successful launch of this satellite . Meanwhile videocon and airtel are making all necessary back up system in terms of management , infrastructure so that they can roll on their services as soon as the satellite is launch .
