Hi,I am considering to get Big Tv Connection. However, I recently heard that there is pop up advt while watching and this has to be removed using remote to continue to watch.Since I frequently records programme this will be a problem.Dear Big TV users - from your experience how this is affecting you. Is the advt quite often? what is the size of the advt - any photos can be highly appreciated.Tks

No... not a problem with advertisements. Comes only once a week or something and we can get rid of it by pressing a BLUE button immediately.They are not 3rd party ads but big tv's own ads for paid cinema or a/c balance notices.So not to worry about it but still if you plan for DTH then go for AIRTEL rather BIG TV. I am a bigtv user and thats why suggesting a better service. AIRTEL is far better in terms of hardware quality and services. If you want good quality with cheap price then BIG TV is good (hardware quality is good but not excellent). Picture quality is excellent though.

I have 40inch Full HD LCD and I would like better picture quality and sound.
Since only BigTv has component connection, I think Big TV is better than Sun Direct - although Sun has more malayalam channels.

For people who are Picture/Sound quality conscious, there is no other destination than Reliance BIG TV.

the popups are irritating, say you are watching cricket match and at critical movement popup comes, you have to find remote now for resuming match....No... not a problem with advertisements. Comes only once a week or something and we can get rid of it by pressing a BLUE button immediately.

I strongly disagree. It is a real PITA. I too record most of my programs and they all are overlaid with the lousy BigTV ads. Sure they are BigTV ads but they are not far and few, especially if your subscription is due for renewal shortly.
For those of you who do not mind watching live TV then it is probably OK but for the rest of us who like to control the TV rather than the other way round these ads are a big PITA.
