:wewin:BIG TV TO ADD HD CONTENTReliance BIG TV is reportedly procuring High Definition (HD) content for its DTH platform. The company is believed to be in talks with global media houses like BCC, CNN and Comedy Central for non-film content.Big TV is also in talks with Fox Star Group to introduce Fox's niche channels like Fox Crime, Fox Adventure, Fox Music and other National Geographic Channels on BIG TV.Talks are also believed to be in progress with MSM Discovery for its new channels, including Discovery HD Channel, Discovery Science, and Discovery Turbo.When contacted, Reliance BIG TV spokesperson said: "An entire bouquet of HD content will be made available to our 2 million subscribers by Q1 of next financial year."HD content will be offered to BIG TV subscribers on a pay-per-view basis. According to BIG TV sources, "Pay-per-view of its non-film shows recorded 150% growth over its current viewership average for film-based pay-per-view content."

Yup! High Definition Channels will be there on BigTV soon. The DVR the BigTV is gonna launch is a HD box, its a very cool box from HDT. When DVR comes, HD channels wont be far....

Reliance IPTV with HD content, announced many years ago, is still to see the light. May be Big TV could be the second DTH after SUN to provide the same.
