Thanks for the thread. Most of the discussion seems to be focussed on the pricing front.I was hoping that there would also be some comparison on the picture/video quality front. Some of the people mention that the video quality is the same, however others say Big is better! So my questions to the people who have seen both are - 1. Are they almost the same?2. What cable is being used to output from the BIG TV STB to the TV- Composite or Component in the comparison? In theory, component should be better (capable of high definition) but I wanted to know if this is the case. Some people have told me that with Dish TV VGA STB, the quality actually goes down - though in theory this should be better than the normal (composite) STBs that Dish TV offers.:wall:

The initial offer with big tv is good but i am not happy with the package rates......When comparing pacakge rate i feel TS is better than big tv........ I had lot hopes in big tv's package rate but really it disappointed me........

In that case Dish Tv is clear winner as 300 Rs you have all sports channels except Neo channels and have almost all channels which offered. If they add Bindass channels then Dish TV would be better option for price.

I feel Reliance is better for Northis.. for 305 you get all the channels..as in TS u will end up paying 360/- including ten sports and sports channels..

ha ha ha every one is here to make the money .. may be its dish .. tata or big .. but more player bring more competition and that is better for customer as this bring the prices down ... same we saw in Telecom industry also so we are expecting the same in dth market also ...dth market is as bigger as Telecom market so lets wait for more player ...about big .. i have seen the same .. and the quality is good as far i have seen .. i can't compare the same with Tata Sky as haven't seen the same ...
