This is one movie for which you don't have to watch any other marvel movie except Black Panther. It is a direct sequel with zero references to the MCU or anything otherworldly. The good old days when every movie doesn't need to shoe-horn itself into a larger franchise.
And like Black Panther 1, this one also has VFX issues. Aquaman shot underwater scenes using Dry for wet technique but Ryan Coogler shot actors in actual water tanks that don't look as seamless.
