I was thinking of getting a Speed upgrade. I don't want top up data. I hoped they could give me speed upgrade on same plan.
Did you try it? Maybe you can get Speed upgrade.

That's what i expected. Giving 75 GB on 175 GB Rs 2K+ tariff plan not a big deal. Has anyone got 30-40 GB top on their existing 20-30 GB? I don't think so.

Any free top up is a welcome gift. But look at this way.
You on 5 GB plan got 40% of additional top up data. That's just 2GB. That doesn't change your equation of plan by much.
Its not really the percentage that matters. Its how many GBs you get specially when you're on low end plans with original data of 20-30 GB.

@India_King Nope bro. I did not try. What did CC tell you when you asked for the speed upgrade?
I have a 5GB plan because my requirement falls under 5GB usage. If I have more usage, I would take a plan with more bandwidth. 2GB gives me enough breathing space on my existing plan and I think it's great.
It's not Airtel's fault if you are talking a plan that does not have enough bandwidth for your requirements.

BTW, CC told me that they can only give free top up data to me not speed upgrade. They were offering me 1 GB top up on my 599 2 Mbps 3 GB plan. They asked me if i want to get my additional 1 GB activated. I refused them. As you know, GBs don't matter on our IPs. We can get unlimited Data on any plan we choose. So i am interested in getting the cheapest high speed plan. A friend in Airtel told me to get 999 8 Mbps 7GB plan through retention. I think i will try it next month.
