Still down. Haven't been able to log on to hotmail since yesterday.

1504 CC said: They have some problem at Prabhadevi server and claim that they are working on it and the problem will be solved in 2 hrs time.Hope they solve it in 2 hrs, expectations are less from MTNL but lets hope that they solve it soon, google was not opening yesterday but its opening today. i'm using 4.2.2.1 as dns server n having no problem at all i can open all the sites easily even while downloading.u can use 202.134.160.8 7Star's DNS serveri hope it works.

4.2.2.1 did not resolve the problem for me. I still cannot open yahoo mail with this dns server.

Well I got an email from MTNL on MTNL mail (just checked donno why):

It is observed that many of our customers are not able to access some websites (e.g. yahoo.com, rediff.com etc). It is due to some technical problem with our International Bandwidth provider and website content servers.

Efforts are being taken to resolve the issue as early as possible but it is taking time since it is beyond the control of MTNL.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

It seems MTNL is back to normal now, websites seem to be opening fine... They told me 2 hrs on 1504 and they managed to resolve it in less than two hrs. Good job!Hey Techno, atleast MTNL is better than other ISP's, this is the first downtime I had in over 18 months and they came forward to say Sorry thru email can't expect more from a Govt company man and that too from MTNL which is famous for careless attitude towards subscribers. I think we should appreciate their efforts!

yes sites are opening now..but speed still seems sluggish for now.

The government servers are a little slow. It takes time for them to accomodate to changes. Give it some time.

I don't know what you guys are talking about... The problem still exists... If you are a casual surfer, u mite not notice... I can't open any of my websites... and hey... guess what a CC person said to me today... "The problem will be solved tommorrow...".

i think the problem is still there can browse now but not able to download anything using bittorrent clients
