Hi All,I want to buy (USB) 3G internet data card for my laptop. My preference is connectivity in Pune as well as in Chattisgarh (raipur) and also while travelling. Could you experts there suggest me which is good in terms of connectivity as my work profile requires 4 hours of uninterrupted internet connection. Thanks in advance,Bhupi

Hi Steffin

I did as you suggested and it in some sort is good solution (a best workaround).
Atleast disconnection issue is fixed.
But the speeds nowadays (even before your suggestion) are pathetic, never above 300 kbps.
I am sure there is no problem in modem or connection because some times during the day I do get speeds till 2Mbps; and the "some times" last for 2-3 minutes :)

And the customer care people coudn't be better, the best the suggest is to
1. remove the existing connection profile
2. recreate it with the same settings.
3. And Restart..

I am really looking forward to change the connection and go for Docomo or Airtel 3G (it is about to launch soon I think)

Pity for BSNL, they were the only operator with 3G for so long ; they could have made quite a space in the market had they good services.

Thanks
Sapan

@sapan: Good to know that the disconnection stopped. How are you checking the 3G speed?See if you are getting proper signals!Which device are you using for connecting to 3G?

Which device are you using for connecting to 3G?

details:
I use Micromax 310G USb modem. with a BSNL 3G connection with unlimited internet access top up.
The connection belong to UP-West circle
Signals as shown from the Software window are always full and also an H next to them.
The speeds results are from the System Mechanic 6 network analyser.
I will do a speedtest.net test and post the results too.
