I did as you suggested and it in some sort is good solution (a best workaround).
Atleast disconnection issue is fixed.
But the speeds nowadays (even before your suggestion) are pathetic, never above 300 kbps.
I am sure there is no problem in modem or connection because some times during the day I do get speeds till 2Mbps; and the "some times" last for 2-3 minutes
And the customer care people coudn't be better, the best the suggest is to
1. remove the existing connection profile
2. recreate it with the same settings.
3. And Restart..
I am really looking forward to change the connection and go for Docomo or Airtel 3G (it is about to launch soon I think)
Pity for BSNL, they were the only operator with 3G for so long ; they could have made quite a space in the market had they good services.
