I am planning to get a 3G data card and have a few queries that I am not getting any information anywhere on the web. Hope someone here can answer them.

1. Is the unlimited plan truly unlimited? What sort of real-world speeds does it provide?
2. Do torrents download properly over a 3G connection? I had a Reliance CDMA (not EVDO) data card once and had to cap torrents to 12 Kbps to get a good perf and have seen BSNL EVDO cards where torrents barely get upto 30 Kbps.
3. Does anyone know of any compatible 3G router for LW272/LW273. Do EDIMAX 6200n/6210n work?
4. How large of a effect does coverage have on speeds? I mean if I have one or two signal bars, how much will the speeds be different from having four or five bars?

Thanks in advance.

One more thing - does it give a direct connection to the internet or route through proxy/NAT?

1. Yes, it is truly unlimited2. Do not use torrnets - Some one else may be able to respond to this3. I use EK Wireless Hame router. This is compatible with BSNL EVDO modem as well as the Huawei 3G usb modem. Excellent product.4. Speeds vary considerably from area to area. I live in Chennai and the lowest speed I ever got was 2.50 MBPS. I would suggest to get in contact with someone who has 3G in your area and check out the speeds first before buying it. The best thing about 3G wireless usb modem is you eliminate the linemen/techinicians etc who would look to be compensated in case they fix a problem. This being wireless the linemen etc do come into the picture at all.
