BSNL Broadband: Battery Details for Type 1 modem :)

hello everyone,
Im new here, i got broadband connection day b4 yesterday.

BB Plan: 750UL PLUS
Modem:UT300R2U Type 1


As i live in small town where in frequent power failures for hours, as i use ma laptop which gives me 3 hours backup, so i was thinking about the battery for type 1 modem, when i inquired bsnl regarding battery they said we not have battery for type 1 modem, but the guys who work in bsnl has provided me the battery which works with type 1 modem.

so i wanted to share this info if someone needs battery for the type 1 modem enquire ur nearest telephone exchange.

these batteries are provided by bsnl for cdma FWT phones, but these do work with type 1 modem.

you could buy a UPS which will last for ours if you are going to run a modem through it....

yea im using the battery provided by bsnl teracom 12V smps for CDMA FWT, but ups cost 2k sth APC.but this battery last long for 12 hours for a type 1 modem.i paid them 350 rs
