bsnl broadband: getting ISP Login Failed error message -need ur help guys

I have a UT300R2U modem. And I am getting a error message when I try to open a page on the browser. It is getting redirected to this page:
http://192.168.1.1/ppppassword.html
And it shows an error message like this:
ISP Login Failed.Then internet led in modem was not glowing.

I entered the correct password (username was already given there) in the empty box and clicked Apply. The modem restarted, but didn't solved the problem. I reset the modem, go to the router settings page and entered the correct password. It didn't work either.

I tried switching on and off the modem many times. Some how it worked one time. Then internet led in modem started to glow.I could browse the web sites or download stuff. But the next time I switched on the modem,am getting ISP Login Failed error message.If i try 5 or 6 times again and again by entering the correct password (username was already given there) in the empty box and clicking Apply,I got internet connection.So,to get internet connection,I am struggling atleast 20 -30 minutes with ISP Login Failed error message.

• Do you think my modem is damaged ?

• Is there anything I can do to fix the problem (May be change some settings or some thing) ?.

• Can anyone help me please ?
 
That link you provided took me to modem login page.If it is so then login with id and password as admin and admin.Seems your modem is not configured properly.

I loged into http://192.168.1.1 with id and password as admin and admin.I clicked Advanced Setup-->WAN n clicked EDIT.gave my correct password also n clicked save &Reboot.Modem got reboot.I got internet connection after repeating the same process 2 or 3 times.But the next time I switched on the modem,am getting ISP Login Failed error message.So,i again entered into http://192.168.1.1 n repeated same process.Please help me to solve this issue.
Can u please provide steps to configure modem properly ?.Thanks for ur input.
 
We can try 'Dialer" mode.
The little I know about Dataone Broadband Services offered by BSNL
see this web site and if confident change settings.
After Save reboot
to maintenance menu and again select SAVE Reboot.
wait for two minutes.

create a dialer in computer and enter
your userID and PW to connect.
