@guys: Thanks for all those replies. My problem has finally been solved. It turned out to be a line problem. After replacing the entire line I was finally able to surf without any frequent interruptions like I did back when I first got the modem. So just saying, if it ain't the modem then ask them to check and replace the line. Thanks again for the wonderful replies/suggestions.

Good to know that. What does "replacing line" mean? Changing the wire from your house to the junction box near your home? or changing some port at BSNL Exchange? I am still facing the Auto Restart problems and yet to find the solution.

@hamza - My problem is that my whole modem is not getting restarted. The modem power is stable. Only the DSL/Internet lights goes off and it comes back after a while. I may be wrong, but I am damn sure it is nothing to do with Ethernet cable, because the problem exists while using Wireless connection too.
If Power Adapter is the problem, then the Power LED of Modem also should restart. Only my DSL and Internet LEDS are going away and they are coming back after a moment.
My Power Adapter is connected to a UPS... I will try to swap the UPS socket and see.

Please, post your snr and line attenuation statistics.

Its already posted in the same thread. Check Page # 1.

To add, my connection is good. Speed is normal too. But the only problem is that randomly(once in 1 to 3 hours), my modem DSL/Internet lights goes off and comes back. I am a heavy link-removed user, and this auto reset is causing my downloads to break :(

I tried changing the Power Socket, and even changed the LAN Cable port on modem. Still no use :( My next step is to borrow a modem from friend and try.
