PUNE is slated to become the first city in the country where Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) will launch multi player services through their broadband connection which would include a cable channels bouquet, video on demand, video conferencing, television to television SMS and e-classes. BSNL has kept August 15 as the trial launch date.
‘‘It is a national project but the pilot project is being experimented in Pune. If successful it would be replicated all over North India. In the South, Bangalore is initiating something similar but we hope to be the first in the country,’’ says Gopal Krishna Agarwal, principal general manager, BSNL, Pune.
