BSNL Broadband's new revolutionary (lol) broadband plans with minimum 2mbps speeds (lol)

Lol Guys for me FUP stands for "Free Unlimited Plans" Almost crossed 100 GB never got less than 2 MBPS even before 2 MBPS i have had never got the Below 1 MBPS speed . is it because my plan got discontinued ?

Thats awesome man. :)

I could also done more but did had turn off my PC due to bad weather and later when I started again, the speed got down to 512kbps. I had been running past 48 hours with single IP.

I think you haven't rebooted the modem recently so you still have 2 mbps but 1 mbps you used to get before is surprising to know. Lucky you.

Where on earth do u live man. I mean I want to know where Bsnl provides such plans

I live in Hubli, Karnataka. Nothing special, its just a server glitch but it will be corrected for everyone soon. My two connections are back to 512kbps now.

However, BSNL shouldn't have done this. They think Internet is made by them and looting us. Since from dialup connection in India, we are just praying for better service. Wait, wait and keep waiting.

I pay 800 Rs incl tax every month (Plan UL 675). For this amount, they could have provided 2mbps till 20gb and 1mbps after that. You see, they made 20GB top-up for 500 Rs then what is 800 Rs we pay monthly? Shouldn't we get atleast 1mbps for that? 512kbps is not even fair to say its Internet, its only to keep connection alive so we can opt Top-ups.

After doing some math, I realized I'm only getting maximum of 222.1 KBps instead of 264 KBps on 2 Mbps connection. Even though my downlink speed is set to 2047. What should I do? I'm afraid to complaint to BSNL as I'm getting this speed after reaching FUP

After lots of hype finally bsnl revealed their 2Mbps plan. The plan is shitty. Thy are providing 2 Mbps upto 1GB. Now the question is that what the hell I do with just 1 GB data? Again they will loose customers.

why? they did not take anything away from these customers? they just gave them a slight boost for a few hours/days. customers are still paying the same. getting the same service for the rest of the month. if they had better options already, why have they not moved already?

I agree with your point but the little boost in speed for a small amount can make one annoyed(depending on the person)when FUP hits, not that it would make them lose customers from this. Most of the people who have BSNL(including me) don't have many other options(Sify,Connect available only with similar plans but less reliability so i doubt others would leave BSNL due to this change.
