thanks. i configured my modem for pppoe. i want to know how to do laptop wireless configuration for dialup and connecting over bridging mode. it works through lan connection.

@essbebeThose links were indeed very useful. But I'm still not able to go online using the setup mentioned. I use the following:2 Acer notebooks running Windows XP SP2WA3002 G1 ModemBSNL DataOne Home 250PlanThe following are the settings on my modem:ISP: PPPoA/PPPoEBridge Interface: DeactivatedEncapsulation: PPPoE LLCGet IP: DynamicNAT: EnableDefault Route: NoAll others are default settings. The Uname and pwd are entered.I use WPA2 PSK AES security.DHCP is enabled. IP Pool count is set at 2 (only 2 computers connect)DNS Relay:Use auto discovered DNS server onlyAll other settings for NAT,QoS etc are default. The Problem:I can see the following in the Device Status:Virtual Circuit: PVC0Status: ConnectedConnection Type: PPPoE/PPPoAIP Address: xx.yy.zz.aaDefault Gateway: 0.0.0.0 (This is what bothers me)DNS Server: Some address is shown.I am able to connect both my computers to the network. But I am not able to go online unless I change the router back to the Bridge mode. And in such a case, I can only go online only from one computer. I want to use and go online with both my computers simultaneously.I hope to get help guys! Thanks!Ashwin

@aswingopalChange the Ip address 192.168.1.X ( X say from 3 to 10) For both computers it should not be same. Will read your post again later.

Ya...Thanks for the prompt response. But I let my DHCP Server to configure IPs for both the computers. The reason of why I cannot stick to one IP is that I use two different networks which operate under different subnets. Please do read up my first thread and device a solution if u can....Thanx!!

Step 1 :Open the modem with 192.168.1.1/main.html.Go to Diagnostics and check all tests pass.Step 2 :In your laptop/s TCP/IP : set to automatic IP address. and DNSorStep3 : It should show 192.168.1.X( 3 to 100 say) subnet mask 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway 192.168.1.1 ( for both laptops)DNS: Try open dns 208.67.22.222 and 208.67.220.220Para two : Check in each laptop network/LAN status.

Thanx again...But yes...Those are enabled and done earlier. Could you please look up in the Device Info under Status and tell me what the 'Default Gateway' shows? If the PPPoE connection is made properly any computer that connects must be able to go online, correct? I mean unlike the bridge mode where we first connect to the router and then initiate a PPPOE WAN Miniport connection, just connecting to router should suffice, correct? Pl reply. I really appreciate your spirited responses, essbebe....Thanks
