EVDO fun seems to be over I think!! I have sourced it just last week from Nashik (for using it in Pune) in my friends name . Still struggling to get adequate browsing speed. Now who will buy it! I do not think BSNL EVDO is compatible with any other private wireless ISPs to use on their network. Anybody is interested to buy it. pls reply [email protected]

^^^ hmm... if I remember right, there was a CC to "All Circles" at the end along with some 5-6 others. So I think this will be known to all circles within the implementation date which is another 16 days away.

and the circular also mentioned to monitor the feedback very closely on a month-to-month basis and report it to some higher person. (which is going to be -ve if this hike is implemented:@)

O.K. There is no need to search for the order..from the tune of the order I am now sure that it is corporate order.But when I posted the news of EVDO REV-A in anothe forum someone asked me what about the pricing?.. So it is propbably, for the EVDO REV-A which has offered the 3.1mbps d/l speed, so it is posible that the order that you posted is about EVDO REV-A..and old plans are not touched..

CDMA-144kbps-Rs350
EVDO-REV_0(2.4mbps) Rs 650/
EVDO-REV-A (3.1mbps) RS.999/

Usually whenever a new plan announced it 'll be a testing base and field officer has to report to Circle G.M. He 'll report this to Corporate office..

However I am yet to access the order

if I got that I/ll post this in this forum..

Thanks

Even I heard the price rise from Bsnl office when i went for broadband connection....They were saying something like the tariff will be fixed for 6 months and may or may not change after that

A bad news for EVDO users. It seems BSNL is revising the tariff for EVDO services from Nov 1st.

Unlimited plan will now cost Rs.999 instead of the current Rs.650. :@

Other Limited plans are :

199 -- 0.5 GB
299 -- 1 GB
449 -- 2 GB
649 -- 5 GB

No idea how existing users will be billed or when they will be migrated to the new plans.

The new tariff is updated on BSNL's webpage..

:: BSNL CDMA ::

Nowhere its mentioned its for Rev. A. So it is safe to assume this increase is for all existing and new customers from Nov.1 :frown:

:@

Any way there is no clearcut order that the existing user has to shift to new plan.. BSNL is now migrating all the EVDO-REV-0 to EVDO-REV -A infrastruture.. so any new bookings will be on EVDO-REV-A.. On the other hand the existing EVDO _REV-0 rates are not going to increase to the new rates just announced, because under TRAI order it is mandatary to give atleast sixmonths notice to the customer concerned for the increase of rates without any boost in the services.. as on date, orders about old plans are yet to be removed, so it is assumed that there is no increase in the old plans..

Leave off data card internet. The speed in this type of access is WORST in ALL OPERATORS. So users, do not blame BSNL alone.

Click the link below to see various BSNL resident (fixed) broadband pland and get one that suits your usage :

Note : For getting broadband, you must have BSNL landline connection or else you can apply for that and broadband simultaneously when applying for broadband.

@sudhakar35 You don't understand why EVDO users are mad for any increase in Tariff or slow speedFixed BB connectons are best for the customers who wanted intdrnet at Home.. But EVDO is for mobile customers who use laptop... I know many mobile customers still not aware of EVDO potential still using GPRS/edge datacard which the speed is pathtic but the cost of UL Rs 750/ for the speed of 200kpbs.. Also 3 G datacard which has 3.1 mbps speed has UL plan for the cost of 3000 RS.p.m but for the same speed EVDO REV-A cost Rs 999/p/m.. The plans are from BSNL.. you can substitute other service providers plans for comparision purpose.. BSNL EVDO has no advertisement because they are on testing phase so plans are in the lower stage.. but from Jan1 2010 ,EVDO services will compete with 3 G GSM services

@Vaithy
Stop commenting on broadband resident connections. Ok?. You do not have qualities to do so. Resident broadband provides the same amount of upload (for example 25KB/s) and download (25KB / s) eventhough the maximum speed of the connection is 32KB/s (256kb/s). But all data card connections provide upload speed very slow at 1KB/s. First of all understand before posting. Ok?.
