BSNL FIBER: LFMT login IDs and intermittent connection issues

Hi All, I have been investigating and trying to troubleshoot the problem of frequent internet disconnection and connection issues with symptoms of Data LED blinking intermittently and getting stable after sometime. This has been going on for a the past 1 year.

Turns out today vendor confirmed that the connections which have @ftth.lfmt.in in their login IDs have this problem and they are planning to migrate them to different domain possibly. Waiting for the final state of connection stability.

Just wanted to share this info so if any of you have similar issue, please ask bsnl support to move away from lfmt.in login ids.

And lfmt users are behind CG-NAT as well, you get a private IP address. So never opt for that service.

@shankartalala You could opt out of the LFMT service right, and you get a dynamic public IP address too.

@varkey - Thank you for the more info. Unknowingly, we got our user Ids connected to lfmt.in (in our apartment) during our initial bsnl fiber connections and it seemed to work fine for 1st one year and then problems started for the past 1 year.

Actually, we never opted for that service. I dont know how bsnl created users ids on lfmt.in domain for our fiber connections. Weird and it took almost a year to complaint and get this resolved.
