bsnl fibre disconnection related query

bsnl generates bill for past month so if i will need to pay my 1st sept - 30th sept bill on or before 20th oct
so does that means best date for disconnection would be 30th sept. ?

suppose if iam unable to disconnect on 30th sept and date went to 3rd oct , and then internet is disconnected , will i need to pay FULL OCT MONTH bill in november ?
or it will be on pro rata basis for 3 days ?

it will be on pro-rata basis. Also BSNL generally take advance deposit of 1 month while taking the new connection. Ideally that should be adjusted with your final/last bill. in that case you can surrender your connection around month end(few days before, as advance deposit doesn't include GST) and you don't have to pay anything. For this check with BSNL CSC office/JTO.
