Hello guys!

Three months back when I was at my parents home(where this BSNL Fibre connection is), I saw the data usage exceeded the quota.
I don't think my parents will use that much.
So I changed the plan to "Fibre Value Plus" 3300GB@100Mbps, then 10Mbps from 2000GB plan.

I got a new phone for my mom reset my father's phone and tablet thinking it can be some malware/virus.
On top of it I bought Unifi Access Point for Wifi and bought a new TP-Link XPON router. All the passwords are changed other than the BSNL PPPoE password.

Still the data usage of 3300GB happened in the first 5 days of the month(april). Last month when my father went to BSNL they told him to change the Wifi Password. I knew it wasn't the problem. So I started checking few times a day for any unwanted wifi clients on Unifi Controller. There is no wifi client other than my parents devices.

Yesterday, 1st May 400GB+ was used even though they were not at home.
Today 2nd May, they are at home and the usage increased to 655GB.

When I took the screenshot to post here and it was 654GB, and now in less than an hour it is 675GB.

Is there a possibility that somebody is using our PPPoE connection elsewhere?
Anybody heard anything like this? What's the best way to deal with this?

Thank you!

BSNL bind connections these days, so it may not be possible for others to use your account unless it is an insider's job, you have changed all passwords except BSNL, it's time you change the BSNL password as well to drop down on suspect.

PS:- I used to log in to other BSNL accounts(ADSL) when learning to hack, but it's clear abuse in your case.

I had changed my pppoe password ones and it took those guys 4 days to get it working again by resetting it to default again🤦
