@mintdrgn44 BSNL binds WAN MAC of ONT.
So you need to clone WAN mac of old ont to the new one.
You can also view the mac details by login to the BSNL ecare app
Hey man. Thanks for responding. I am a bit confused by these terms. Does ONT mean the stock BSNL router? Also i couldn't find the Ecare app on the playstore but i did find an APK so ill try it
@mintdrgn44 Yes it’s the stock bsnl modem(ont).
The app is currently not available in play store.
You can download it from apkpure.
Btw you can also do the MAC address reset by contacting the LCO
Hey man. I tried it with the BSNL Mac address i got from the screenshot as well and yeah..still not working.
You were talking about the case of MAC address when replying to @harman22. Even though i use all caps when using "ritool set MACaddress", the letters in the macaddress still shifts to small letters. Could that cause an authentication error?
@mintdrgn44 Did you tried cloning the WAN Mac of Default BSNL modem to the NokiaONT/modem ?
If the wan mac not working then try resetting the MAC address
I may be wrong but the Alphion olt’s are locked so you won’t able to connect any third party modem/ont to their system
@Sanemi Yeah man. I did that first. Then i tried it with the Mac mentioned in the Bsnl app. Still no dice. Log says authentication error again. You can see the log dump in page 4 of this thread
Update: Only the last two characters are different in the MACs of the Stock router & the app
