Hi Friends, This is just to understand the pattern and uptime availability of bsnl ftth service. We seem to have an downtime of min 7 days in a month due to either fiber cuts, port problems at exchange or some other unforeseen issues.

Vendor who provides the service always complains that the port problem at exchange or fiber cut somewhere in the middle.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is local cable operators are really doing intentional cable cutting?? Is there a solution to this problem? If yes how do we approach bsnl mgmt. I wrote to pgm blr numerous times and they seem to dont care at all.

I have options to switch to private but their service and speed is not really reliable...thank you for reading and your thoughts and advice further.../\

Yes i do face downtime on bsnl ftth. Its mostly around 4-5 downtimes in a month (total of 2 months of usage) and its mostly from bsnl side and not the lco. Here everything goes down landlines, mobile and ftth all together and it takes around 4-5 hrs min to a max of 10-12 hrs. Earlier it was due to the four lane work going on but now after diverting main fiber from another route we still have down times. Even now everything is down!
