Not recommending this, but just sharing the experience I had in porting a number in company name where the UPC starts with C. My father had a Reliance CDMA connection for many many years which was registered in the name of private limited company. The company later shut down, but the connection remained in the company name.
Many years later, in 2016 when Reliance CDMA shutdown, and was moved to Reliance GSM (coverage was pathetic at the time), there was no option other than to port out. Getting the UPC itself was a headache as there was no signal to send the port out message, finally after escalating the issue, received the UPC but it had the "C" prefix.
Decided to port to Idea, and went to an Idea store, they took the request but it didn't get processed as they needed the NOC. The company was shutdown so there was no way to get an NOC. The Idea store person said, he will make a namesake NOC in the letter head of the company and re initiate the port request. I think we paid some Rs 500 or so to him to do it. Anyway it went through and porting was successful.
It may not work now, but maybe try visiting an Airtel/Vi/Jio store and see if you can port to one of their postpaid premium plans, so that they are more motivated to assist you.
