Dear readers plz help,
earlier some 22 months back BSNL gave us a bill of 13000 rupee. we were shocked as it was 500 per month plan (although not unlimited but it never exceeded min charge). later we knew that for previous 6-7 months BSNL did not charge us the chargeable units monthly but suddenly gave bill of all the months in one go . If they would have sent us bill from first month we could have reduced usage from there itself(connection is used for video calling by my parents who does not know how to use selfcare). Now they have added some interest in ammount and bill is showing to be 16k what can be done they gave us a date of 23 aug or it notice says legal action will be taken ..... kindly suggest what can be done.

Always pay the bill on time. If there are issues in a bill, get it fixed rather than ignore it.

At this time I would appreciate a solution than a lecture beside We paid all bills on time, except the last one which was not justified and I went to bsnl regarding this to solve it but they gave me nothing than a sorry face....

so how would you respond to a client who fails to pay your last invoice? would you just forget about the invoice?

Yup, as I said above. Get the invoice corrected. Ask for a settlement. Pay the pending amount. Get the connection terminated properly.

Did you read the problem above I was given bill for 8 month at 500 rupee upto say august I cleared them but at September I m given bill previous 8months all at once. If they would give me a correct bill at the first month itself we would have shifted to next unlimited plan the very next month.

So what would you have done if it was the invoice from the power department or water department? You would just ignore the incorrect bill instead of getting it corrected?

Contact AO and get it fixed, any day better than not paying.

I think once you've cleared the bill for a month, BSNL can't charge you for the same month again.

How can they add previous usage to your current bill? :S

If really an error, meet the accounts officer.
Yes I have the Excell sheet with me, from self care. Old usage is added suddenly. Accounts admin confirmed it. But bsnl officers not responding rather threatening my father(who lives at my native) for legal action.
