BSNL Server Down???

Hey ppl... i am from BANGALOREI am not able to access sites likes rediff.com, yahoo mail, cricinfo, desitorrents, etc... is dis coz da server is down or something or is BSNL blocking these sites???

bsnl sux they dont give reliable connection, and that hopeless customer care. i am fed up with that i changed to airtel.

Maybe a localized problem. I am able to open up all the mentioned sites

It's happening here also for 1-2 hours everyday recently

Try to ping the servers. See if it works.If it happens way too often then use servers like openDns

kinda sad, they got the best rate plans, but their customer service is so bad that they'll drive anyone away........ still, they got nite unlimited :yahoo: P.S : I dloaded 48gb last mnth!!!

^^ It depends on the location. In here we havent got a dedicated CC. The NIB office acts as the CC and the technical help desk. These people are very adept.

I am lucky, I walk for 5 minutes and reach my exchange for any query, I never call CC.

This happened here too in hyderabad on 15, 16 and 17 between 9:30 PM and 11 PM . Most of the web sites were not opening and neither was anything getting downloaded. But everthing was back to normal by 2 AM when I start my big downloads. May be BSNL guys were carrying out some maintenance activities during that time.But I should add, I have been using BSNL broadband ever since it was launched, and have never faced any major problems. I am one very satisfied customer of BSNL Broadband. :thumbsup:.Waiting for BSNL IPTV to be launched here.
