Buy modem or rent Modem

What should i do? If you think i should buy a modem can you suggest any that are available in the market.

D-Link GLB 502T ADSL +2/2 Router With USB and Lan Port around Rs 1500/=Then you may need a wireless router to connect more computers or use your laptop on wireless.There is a D-Link model combining all :adsl2+ modem+ wireless router.Initially rent the modem for a month or two.

^In chennai maybe its possible to return the modem after 1 or 2 months.here in Mumbai,My friend returned his modem over 5 months ago and every month he has been told they will stop charging him the rent.Till date they have not been able to trace where his modem is,He got a token from the exchange saying "modem returned"But Billing section sends him to Triband section,Triband sends him back to QCS and QCS to Billing againcoz they say they have fwded the complaint to Prabhadevi head office

Create paperwork to go to Consumer court for wrong billing/mental harassment/physical health problems visiting MTNL office often/transport charges etc.
