Calculating SNR Margins and other stuff....

Ok how do u know whats your SNR Margin and other speed increasing stuff in ADSL2+Router GLB-502t? and whats the SNR margin for a GOOD connection.i would like if somebody has got free time and can tutor me....Please mention everything u thing u can i will be grateful (I face ALL OF THE POBLEMS u guys in total face) and i am a n00b at internet so please help guys...

Open router properties in ur browser [type 192.168.1.1(in address bar) and press "go", then enter username and password (default is "admin" and "admin"), go to Status>ADSL and checkout ur SNR Margin]SNR Margin - This is a measure (in dB) of how good your data signal is. Higher numbers are better. If this number drops below 6, you'll start to have sync problems. Attenuation - Measures (in dB) how much signal loss there is on the line - this should be a low number and in any case should be no more than around 60-65 dB. If these values don't fall into proper range, contact your local exchange and tell them about this.

Thanks for that informaton sneezymelon,But my Modem doesnt seem to have that ADSL sub section under my Status section.i only have Network Statistics,Connection Status,DDNS Update Status,DHCP Clients,QOS-TCS NTCA Status,Modem Status,Product Information,System Log and Log out and NONE of them show about SNR margin and other stuff......

go to Status TABin left pane click on ADSL tabthere shud be all ur snr and stuff
