Can anyone explain how Nimbuzz works?

I tested it and its working fine but did not check whether the call was metred or not..I wanted to know what number will be displayed on the other side.If this one prevails what is the state of mobile operators.Is it really free?Is it legal?Does it have a licence or need a licence?
Free and legal.No number displayed on other side.It is only your ID.If you call from nimbuzz to any of your phonebook number,it is charged by service provider.(no difference,just calling by mobile to other no. from nimbuzz application,under settings call provider -cellular and type is internet call ,which is not supported by any Indian mobile operator.).If yu call to google ID ,it is free.calling with unlimited data plan is usefull and cheap.You can not call to mobile numbers.Chatting is free.I suggest u to try ebuddy.It takes very less data hence savings........

I wanted to know which network does Nimbuzz use, if I am installing it on a Blackberry or an Android phone ? Does it directly gets connected to Yahoo/Skype when I login ? OR, does it gets connected to their own Nimbuzz network before connecting to yahoo or Skype ?
The issue is if the connection goes directly to Skype, then it will get blocked, bu if its routed through Nimbuzz network, there are chances that it wont be blocked.
