change to some other plan for a month. Ask them to change to dynamic ip thenchange back to UL plan....maybe u may remain lucky

Yeah, they have given me static ip.

Talk to the mtnl guys(toll free number) and tell them ur probs :@and hopefully it should be solved.:|
They are supposed to give static ip only if u pay for it by default they give dynamic

i think MTNL system in place is really wired...they r providing services which we never opted for...

Motorazor.... did u upgrade from 749NU to this unlimited plan??? Coz when u directly apply for an unlimited connection, they give a static IP. But when u change your plan mid way... then they dont bother to change it unless you tell them. This applies other way too... if you were on an unlimited plan (with static IP) and then change your plan to 749NU... they give u the night unlimited plan with a static IP... CoolBuddy82 was one of the lucky ones to have that... :)

ohh is it like that...sorry for my lack of knowledge..i thought that they assign Static IP only when we pay for it...yes i migrated from 749NU to 899 Unlimited Combo..and am still on dynamic IP and i dont think i need static ip since i download stuffs from link-removed a lot and static ip will never help me with that cause.

How come having a static ip gives u an edge than a dynamic one:ashamed:

For one you can host your own fileserver.....

^ yes but one can easily do the same with a dynamic IP add. as well by using any dynamic update client from co's like dyndns..the dynamic IP update feature in the router can also be used
