can i physically move my modem alone ?

I'm using bsnl broadband with ADSL modem. At present,both the modem and telephone are in same room,but now i would like to move my modem to other room without moving taking the telephone along with it as others in my home use telephone frequently.Is it possible to shift the modem alone from one room to the other??

Yes, it should be possible. You need to note which cables are connected at which socket.
And you also need to check if you have sufficient length of cable.

You certainly can. The only hurdle could be the length of the wires.

Yep, just use a longer cable.
