@anmolbhard004 yes thats how i defined. In my case, ODI has 192.168.1.1 IP address,

i dont think thats needed. In my case miktrotik has 192.168.88.1 and ODI has 192.168.1.1

@anmolbhard004 Is your sfp port is part of your lan bridge? It should not be!

@hariselio Ubnt shipped the cable, should be here today or tomorrow, would you please share your RB5009's WAN / VLAN / SFP configuration?

  • Are you suggesting that once the fiber link comes up, the RB5009 can ping the SFP at 192.168.1.1? No configuration required?
  • How are the LAN clients (192.168.88.0/24) connecting to the web interface at 192.168.1.1 without a static route on the RB5009?

@Strykar As specified in post#160, you need to configure a ip address(192.168.1.x) for sfp interface. Then route will be automatically created by Mikrotik.

@Sayantan Is for Mikrotik and ODI stick? Make sure SFP port is not part of the LAN bridge. Again, fiber should be connected, else connection will not be established.

May be you can share your settings here, because its very difficult to know what is causing problem.

@hariselio My link issue was UPC vs APC, the SFP now shows a link and traffic, but I am still unable to ping 192.168.1.1
There is no route added in spite of re-adding 192.168.1.2 to the SFP interface.
