thanks alot for posting the guide it really helped alot , and everything works fine now :) thanks once again :)

The instructions helps. Thanks. But the basic downside of EVDO broadband is you cannot attach it to arouter!! In this time and age router offers you lots of advantages and unfortunately the USB modem supplied by BSNL is not supported byany mobile broadband router manufacturers.Still some ways to go!

Seems I may have entered this discussion late but........I live in Miami and use a laptop w/ embedded EV-DO modem on Verizon - want to connect to internet from another laptop via Wi-Fi.Praz: you mentioned that you had found articles / info on doing this w/ Verizon EV-DO service.....can you help here?thxTata Sky DTH

well i share it with my Netgear router and use my laptop and N82 , N79 n HTC touch .

and its all rocking :pleasehelp::pleasehelp::clap:

----------

the problem with adhock connection is u can only connect to one device at a time . so wireless router is better if u want to connect more devices

Darrking,The common consensus in this forum is one cannot connect a routerto the BSNL USB modem. You are mistaken. BSNL has recently introduceda router for EVDO but it is very expensive.You say you have connected a router to EVDO Usb. If that is true, you may well be the first person to do it. So for us to believe what you state, can you explain the connections for the benefit of everyone?We are all waiting for your reply

^^i did not say i connect my EVDo device with wireless router. :ishock::isleep:

EVDO is connected to my desktop or laptop form there i shared it with the router . its simple as going to TOILET :iplay: .

so if u want to know how to share internet connection then i can help u .

----------

by the way my system is almost 99.9 % online n i only restart it some times in 5-6 days .

:whistle::whistle:

Thanks for your reply.So let me understand this thenU have EVDO usb modem on the laptop/desktop. You connect it your router and then you can use the router WiFI to connect multiple computers, right?In that case, if folks have the vonage router - they should be able to connect the BSNL evdo usb modem to it and make VOIP calls, right?In that case, please tell us how you connect the router to the laptop/desktop so we can use the router for sharing internet connection

Help me please

connect ur EVDO to ur computer . then in the network connection window right click on the EVDO connection and click on property .

in property go to the advance tab .
there check box the allow other computer to use my inter net as shown in the picture.

(before that be sure the ur LAN ip is on automatic ip assign mode .)

choose LAN connection from home network connection .

(now the computer will automatically assign ur lan ip to 192.168.0.1 )

now if u have a wireless router it should have a upload port (refer to router manual )

put upload port cable to Ethernet port . and ur router is now done for sharing internet .
