So I currently have W8.1 installed on my computer which has a UEFI motherboard. I have been facing BSOD issues for the last couple of days. I have done the memory tests (I added two new chips few days ago before which there were no BSOD issues) and there appears to be no issues. I was wondering giving Linux a try for a month or two before seeking replacement of the memory chips.
My work does not really require anything that would not work on Ubuntu or Mint. I just do not want to tamper with my 8.1 installation. WUBI was great few years ago but I think it was discontinued a few builds ago? What is the safest way to install Ubuntu on this machine. Too bad I only have 40GB free space on the primary drive which is a SSD so that's another hassle.
