Buy a motorised antenna, a big antenna, LNBs for C band and Ku bands, tunable STB, and a TV satellite and programme guide - bingo, you can watch unlimited channels.


i dont think, so many things are needed... and also there are not many channels which we would like to watch.... except just to feel that we have something to watch atleast..

most of the good channels are always encrypted into pay channels..

just needed .. one 6 to 8 ft size dish , ku and cband lnb, a FTA stb.. nothing more than that.. rest of all info you can find it in forums or websites..

If you want unlimited channels you have to invest. If you want to dispense with the motorised antenna, you have to find a chela to move the antenna with voice and sign control.

I believe these things are available. I know one family which spent about Rs. 30,000 on satellite equipment (a decade back) to watch tamil and christian religious channels.

Why are you pouring cold water on hobby enthusiasts. I come from a generation which assembled valve radios with circuits published in magazines and components purchased from delhi and chennai by post.
