Can we Buy applications/games from app/itunes store using debit card?

Whether It's possible? buying app using debit card?i've a bank of baroda debit card with visa logo on it along with a pnb debit card with maestro logo on it... but i can't use it in my itunes store as on the card there are no security code...But in many forums guyz have said that they always purchase apps from itunes store using their debit card only.If someone can throw some light on it.

from what i remember, Apple itunes account would require a credit card here in india. but i last checked around 2 years ago. apple itunes do not really exist in india coz they do not have a store specific for india. but app buying definitely works using credit card. you can check for yourself. create an account on itunes and try registering using the debit card?

iTunes store India does not accept my SBI Gold International Debit Card. I think only Credit cards will be required in India.
