Can we replace ? Dataone (UT300RTU) modem with Tata Indicom modem (BILLION ADSL router)

Previously, I used to have Tata Indicom broadband connection. After disconnecting the connection..they did'nt took their modem back. My question is can we replace dataone with billion modem ? Which modem is good and best ?Thanks.

Yes. You can use it for BSNL BB.
Use VPI/VCI 0 and 35 in WAN page.
If you want to buy a new modem or modem/wifi router,
please intimate number of computers in use.
or planning to switch to a laptop.
Presume same modem/model.

Thanks for replying. please help me in configuring it? Which one do you suggest ? Which modem is good in terms of speed. BILLION adsl2+ modem/router with single port. Model: BiPAC 5200S Made in China.

Billion modem will do for the present. It is also a good one.Setup Ut330R2U as standby also ! see wiki page for excellent write up by @seshuUpto 256 Kbps speed means max 256/8= 32KB/sec. You will get a speed of say 10KB/sec to 30 KB sec.Sufficient for most purposes. ( For Online games this may be slow )Use Download manager/s for heavy downloads.Check speed at speedtest.net say Brisbane server and note it as reference.
