which kinda makes sense as you are using the same tel# ?...but this thread is challenging that assumption.

u can assign any address to ur modem in lan profile.....cant u????

essbee u have one computer. If somebody has 2 computers with 2 modems with 1 telephone line and 1 BB connection from MTNL, can he try?????Does he get full speed on both PCs? if yes, then we can do a workaround possibly to get double speeds on 1 PC???

I have 3 ADSL modems (Utstar, beetel and 3rd given by Tata), 2 ISPS (Tata and Mtnl), multiple PC'S, 2 ADSL Splitters, 3 swiches(D-Link and netgears), lots of cat5 cable, 3 lan cards (including on board) in one of the pc, 2 static IPS or in other words enough tools :)

So If anyone wants me to do any experiments for them I can try in night.

u may try to split one MTNL line into 2 and then attach modem to those parallel lines and modem to 2 computers and connect AND then browse using both

There was a post somewhere where someone had created a virtual machine to double the speed? I cant find it..can anyone find it ? what ISP did he use ? Tried on MTNL..doesnt work.

No..not this..Someone had one posted a screenshot in which they were running a virtual machine..i.e. one real windows xp and inside it the virtual xp..dialing seperately through each machine..and getting full speed on both..I think it might be possible on Lan based pppoe connections like TATA..Not sure..
