I have an unlocked Motorola Motocliq (MB 220) phone with me which i got from US. I was hoping to use it with BSNL 3G. But it seems their database doesn't have this model in it. I sent SMS to the 58355 with many combinations of motorola and motocliq/MB220 etc but i am not getting sent the settings for 3G. :(How can i get the settings for my phone? Is there another closest match which i can send?

:happy: solved this problem. I was set on the right path by this site: Manual APN Settings for T-mobile G1 for Cellone, India

I went to Settings ->Wireless Controls->Mobile Networks->Access Point Name
Make sure you have just one APN defined with these settings:
Name: bsnlwap
APN: bsnlnet
Proxy: Leave as not set
Prot: Leave as not set
UserName: Leave as not set
Password: Leave as not set
Server: Leave as not set
MMSC: Leave as not set
MMS proxy: Leave as not set
MMS port: Leave as not set
MCC: 404
MNC: 71
APN Type: Leave as not set

Press menu button. select save. If you are in 3G area, 3G icon should appear.

MCC and MNC details: - (Cos it might differ for area. The above code works for BSNL Mangalore, Karnataka.)
