gmail supports https by default and hotmail supports https but you have to enable it via privacy option.my question is that does the https support end to end encryption or only end user encryption.Yahoo only supports login https.

When we sign into Hotmail, there is a separate link entitled ‘Sign in using enhanced security’ - https hotmail. On clicking this link notice the address in your browser change from the http protocol to the SSL https. This will give you extra security on signing into https hotmail.Yes, it's weird and disappointing that once we login we'll see address bar return to something like this "http://adf.ly.idharudhar.ki.batein"While your login information has been encrypted and could not be sniffed, the actual contents of your email as you read and send messages is being transmitted hmmm in clear.Gmail gives you an option using which you can set it to always use https protocol throughout your session.

Yahoo only supports login https.

Your question is bit ambiguous. Even though you use HTTPS in gmail, it is not encrypted email. When the mail is transmitted, it is not encrypted.
Here is how you can seem to do it in GMAIL and it also explains the concept a bit better.
Encrypt your Gmail Email!

I mean end to end aka pgp or user 2 server .I read that gmail supports only user to server, its not a true encryption. For hotmail you can have https enabled via the privacy option. So if i send a hotmail email to another person who has hotmail with https enabled, will my email be end to end aka pgp or like gmail only till server? And if it is till server will my https email be recieved by the user in https?

For end to end, the link I pasted above will work, else IMHO it is not end to end, even if you use HTTPS.

u can send PGP signed emails.. which even gmail, yahoo wont be able to decrypt but u need send via outlook or such email client..not via web based access to gmail/yahooother option and best suited is.. write everything in word file...password protect it...then ENCRYPT that word file using ur private keys..and then send it as an attachment.(send public key to recepient over floppy/pendrive/CD.. securely)

Look into using Thunderbird (or similar email client) with digital certificates. That way, the contents of the email will be encrypted from end to end. Even if Google is forced (say, by a court order) to hand over your email data, nobody but the recipient will be able to read the email.

I have used a GPG (GnuPG/OpenPGP) firefox addon that encrypts/decrypts/signs/verifies email (and any text) so, YES, gmail/yahoo etc should work... dont remember the name of the addon, so search for it.
