car charger for nexus 4

planning a road trip and thought of using google navigation continously. so would need a charger plugged in. any one knows of a good charger.
I have read that some chargers are unable to cope with the battery drain caused by the continuous gps use. so need a good rating one.

Get a power bank. Car chargers won't work. And avoid using it continuously for hours. It would get super hot.

as long as the charger doesn't f**k the phone up, it getting hot shouldn't be a problem right?

turn screen brightness to minimum and try to ensure the phone is not under direct sunlight for long periods

Using voice commands with screen turned off would be even better. I am doing it in my car now.

yes.. plus keeping the phone stand on the AC vent should cool things a little.

Belkin one seems good. my only doubt is does it deliver correct voltage and current. it seems nobody uses a car charger here. I'm not sure about the effectiveness of power bank in longish drives as they themselves need to be charged

I bought a Philips unit. 2A rating I think. Phone charge still goes down while using GPS. This is why I bought a power bank.
