Car Free Day in Gurgaon

right. read a few posts on facebook on a gurgaon related group on how people were stuck on traffic jams on roads which usually remain free.

Ya. The peripheral roads got blocked and the highway was as usual bad. Though a part of me supports the initiative but it can not cover up for lack of development and mismanagement. If the initiative was to reduce pollution by use of more mass transport systems and cycles then it simply shifted the pollution from roads that were car free to other roads that got choked. Never the less it is a good start just hoping that something practical and sustainable comes out of it in the long run.

I cross Iffco every day at 10 am, today was worse than normal.
