this seems stupid but might work with some people.

basically a delivery guy lands at your place. tells you that you have a package with cod payment.
but the thing is that the package was never ordered in the first place. so the guy could potentially take some cash and leave you with a package with junk inside.

Moreover If he suspects you are alone, he can come inside and then rob you of everything. I am not sure what did the guy intended to do.

yeah. you just have to monitor a few houses and see which ones tends to get deliveries on a regular basis. and target them when most of the residents are out on jobs.
