lol, dunno from where yo got this eye contact theory ? There is no logic and evidence to prove that dogs get provoked by eye contact.
Infact not making the eye contact and not standing your ground makes you vulnerable for a attack from a dog.
Stand your ground, make a eye contact and dog will not make a move.
You show your back and you might get pounded from back.

Yes stand your ground (if you are standing). But my post was if you are walking on street and dog comes in front of you.

Cats are never scared of dogs. Cats are much faster than dogs. Has much sharper nails. I mostly see dogs scared of cats.

Heh. I can attest to the eye contact thingy. It really provokes dogs. Have tried it multiple times. Dude will first show his teeth, might bark, and then walk towards you.

They don't attack usually though
