CATV Booster/Amplifier

Hey guys I have an LCD.My cablevala says that since I am the only one in my area with an LCD so I will have to put my own Booster/Amplifier to get a clear picture on the LCD.I wanna ask :1. Whats the difference between the two?2. What would be the approximate cost?3. Where can I get it?

DOnt hurry up.. Try making it broadband or ask cable guy to test using a booster since if the signal Quality is too low u cant make any diff... DIgital signal is always clear unlike analog.... Booster and Amp is same... Should be about 2k or so.. CHeck with the cABLE guy where u can get spares in ur city......Else u put some DD DTH which is FTA.... so that u can watch it clear... But not all channels will be there...
