Could anyone please tell me what is the procedure for changing the broadband plan...i currently subscribe to the Home 500 plan but since it is proving to be useless i want to switch over to the plan costing Rs.250 a month..is it a very long process or can it be done easily..please guide me..:huh:

1) Make a written application at your exchange.2) To be on a safer side and to keep sway from messed up billing during plan switch mention it in the application and also request orally to the person concerned that you want your plan changed from the first day of the next billing cycle.Point 2 is a suggestion !!!!!

Well yes just give an application to the exchange signed by the owner of the Telephone connection, along with Address mentioned in the application with a copy of the last paid bill. It generally takes 1-2 weeks. For me, it took 12 days when I shifted from Home 500 to Home UL 500..!

In our area (Nagercoil, Kanyakumari Dist of Tamilnadu) they do the plan change only in month beginning. I dont know about other places.
Giving a request after the 1st day of the month and at the end of the month around 25th has the same effect.
They accumulate all the requests of a month and send them to Bangalore in the next month beginning. Then they (B'lore) do it in a weeks time. This info I got from an unofficial source.
In fact revenue vice actual loser is BSNL.
