MTNL Delhi Changed my broadband from 2mbps to 8mbps but speed is still 2mbps

So I've changed my bill plan via their online portal from 2mbps to 8mbps freedom plan but my speed is still 2mbps. I have a Netgear router cum modem dgn2200v3

if you changed a day or two ago then wait for another day the speed will get bumped up otherwise call 1504

well according to your line rate you should get 8 mbps , call 1504 and ask them

Thanks a tons after registering a Complaint on 1504 speed finally took a leap. But i still get 7.58 max via speed test is it normal? And I as of now I'm having no frequent disconnections is my line stable?

As long as you get more than 6.4mbps, it is acceptable by TRAI standards.

the line stats keep on changing so sometimes u will get 7.58 mbps and sometimes 8 mbps it all depends on your line
